Tomorrow is my littlest boy's birthday and he will be a whopping 7 years old. He is a big monster, so what better card to make than a monster card... lol
October Afternoon Patterned Paper, Sentiments are computer generated, the happy birthday was cut out using the small square punch from Stampin' Up! and the monster and feet are from the Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge, the lips are a quickutz die. And finally a Martha Stewart Edging Punch. Didn't take me too long which makes a nice change, and I am sure he will like it...
Have a great weekend, I am sure I will as I am off to a Make and Take day with a lovely lady called Steph and 28 other people who I am just dying to meet, then afterwards we are off to the Cinema to see A Christmas Carol for my little boys birthday, picking up a takeaway on the way home, I was thinking KFC, but I think he has other ideas...
Take Care xx

I have 3 new cards to show you today... I have been really busy making 70 Christmas Cards for my 2 little boys to write for their friends at school, plus I am making 30 boxes for Saturday and haven't even started yet.... lol
Patterned paper is from stash, flowers are made using 2 of the Stampin' Up! Punches, 5 Petal Flower and BoHo Blossomes, Cardstock is Night of Navy and Whisper White from Stampin' Up! and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.
Stampin' Up! Old Olive Cardstock, Summer Sun and Whisper White. Ribbon is Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Up! Ribbon. Isn't it wonderful how it all matches each other.
Stampin' Up! Bravo Burgundy and Whisper White Cardstock. A Tree For All Seasons Stampin' Up! Stamp Set and the sentiment is Computer Generated.
Will post a photo of my 70 Christmas Cards tomorrow, plus have 2 other projects I have been working on that I cannot post yet as I dont want people to see them until they receive them.
My Christmas Shopping that I did on Sunday is starting to turn up today, really pleased as that is another thing out of the way, just need to check now who else I need to buy for and to get on with the making of the gifts that I am making. And bigger bonus, my little boy's birthday present turned up today, was worried it wouldn't arrive in time for Saturday as he will be 7 then... just need to get around to making him a card now...
Have a great evening all, take care xx

I am posting my sister's birth congratulations card. So 2 posts in one day... go me!!
I bought these papers around 2 years ago when I was convinced my daughter was pregnant with a daughter, she had a boy and has gone on to have another boy too, so I still have these papers, so it is nice to be able to use them at last. They are Making Memories. The only Stampin' Up! I used this time is the crystal brad in the middle of the flower. I am not sure if I am happy with this card or not though, I am thinking it is maybe a bit jumbly, some people can do jumbly really well, but I dont think this card does that.... lol Anyway, need to take it round now so no chance to make another...

Sorry I didn't get back over the weekend, I did some Christmas Shopping (online of course... lol), we have even booked a pantomime for Christmas Eve, so looking forward to it, we are seeing Beauty and The Beast, I haven't seen that one before, and not all the children have seen the Disney version, so I think I will be hunting down some books, I remember when I was young I had the Beauty and The Beast Ladybird book, it was one of my favourite stories... Terrific Tuesday? not really sure why, have just put out some more leaflets for my Card Classes, so looking forward to that next week, getting to meet new people who share in my love of card making... so more exciting things happening... also on Saturday I am off to a fellow crafter's Make And Take day and will meet loads of new people who I have seen online but never spoken to, so more exciting times..... so I am very excited today, so decided to name my post Terrific Tuesday.
So, here are a few cards I have made, I know the paper is Basic Grey, and so are the buttons, the sentiment is Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations, and the thread wound around the panel is also from Stampin' Up!
More Basic Grey papers, Pumpkin Pie Cardstock from Stampin' Up!, the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.
Er.... ha ha, forgotten who made this paper, I think it is Scenic Route, the flowers are from my stash... the cardstock is Stampin' Up! Pink Passion, I always seem to use some Stampin' Up! on my cards somewhere, I guess its because with more than 48 colours of cardstock you are always likely to find something that matches your papers.
Have a great day all, hope to be back later with another card, a birth card as my sister gave birth to a little girl on Sunday, she already has 2 boys so a girl is a bit of a novelty... after a blood transfusion and a trip to theatre she is now fine and recovering at home..
Take care all xx
Phew..... just about finished..

Hmmmm I am doing quite a lot of these kind of cards lately, white, silver, black and none of them photograph that well...
This is my grandson, he is now 6 weeks old and my daughter asked me a few weeks ago (probably quite a few weeks ago) if I could make her some thank you cards for all the gifts that Cain received after he was born. And true to form and running late as usual I finally got round to making them today. I used Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy Cardstock. The ribbon is Stampin' Up! Striped Grosgrain. I embossed some of the Whisper White with an embossing folder.
The "Thanks" is the inside of the card, this is a die cut, cut using Bashful Blue Cardstock. Nearly forgot the stamped bit on the back of the card, but did remember in time... lol
I was hoping to make my boys their Christmas Cards, do you know what, I haven't made 1 Christmas Card yet and it is making me panic (other than the set for my Card Making Workshop). I really do need to get on and make some stuff for Christmas. I have 3 styles of cards for the boys, so know basically what I am going to do. I also have several albums I need to make too, and I have made a list, but for everything I cross off I add 2 things to it...
Oooooh hubby is home and I really fancy a chinese takeaway tonight, so I will say bye bye and have a good weekend, I will try and blog tomorrow and Sunday so keep checking back. Oh yes, I also have a Greetings Farm Stamp to give away, just need to photograph it and put it on my blog.
Take care all xx

Anyway, last night we went off to see The Specials, I missed out in my youth but more than made up for it last night. We stood on the rail at the front, and one of the guys waved to me and I shook hands with another one, plus I left with a plectrum that they had used..... woohoo.
You can see just how close we were to them, plus I got a Specials T Shirt, some button badges and a program.... plus plenty of beer to drink too....

I have made the draw this morning, first of all I removed posts if someone had made more than 1 comment so that everyone had one comment each, that left 26 posts. The winner is number 10.... I couldn't get the random.org table to save anywhere for some reason...
Thank you for everyone who took part, keep checking back as I will have some more freebies soon.
THIS POST WILL STAY AT THE TOP UNTIL MY BOOKWORM COUNTER HITS 2000, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE UP TO DATE POSTS.
Well as promised yesterday here is some Blog Candy for you, there are Botanical Blooms and Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set, Tea Party Patterned Paper, Striped Pink Grosgrain Ribbon and a Scallop Edge Punch. I am giving these items away as I am feeling in a generous mood after coming in 9th place of Demonstrator of the Year...
To win this there are a few things I would like you to follow:-
1. Add a comment to this post and then post about my blog candy on your blog (you will see why in a minute).
2. Tell all your friends about it, the more the merrier.
3. Add yourself as a follower, (not sure why I want you to do that, but would just boost my ego a bit... lol)
Right, this blog candy will be drawn as soon as my counter (the bookworm, this was reset when I customised my blog) reaches 2000..... so the more people you tell about the blog candy, the quicker the time will come around, and if you post about it on your blog the more people will come and visit mine and the quicker the little counter will count up.... simple eh!!
Just wanted to say that the Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set can be used with the Stampin' Up! punches Scallop Circle and 5-Petal Flower... if the winner would like to purchase these punches to go with their set then I will give them 10% off and post them out for free alongside their blog candy...
This will stay at the top until my counter reaches 2000, and I am trying to post every day so there is always something new to look at... and that is it... good luck to you all, and I will get Random.Org to pick out a number soon...
Take Care all, have a great day xx

Well this afternoon we are off to see The Specials... woohoo, another group from my youth, like Spandau Ballet who we saw last month.... cannot wait to see them, we are seeing them at The Cliffs Pavillion in Southend, so a nice small venue, and of course you cannot sit down if you are seeing a group like this, so standing it is..... and because when they were around in the 80s it was all black and white SKA music I decided that today I would have to make a black and white card, albeit not a very happy one though, but the idea came to me and I just had to make it...
I used the new Whisper White Craft Ink to stamp the image and then embossed it with white embossing powder, all from Stampin' Up! and the new White and Black Thick Grosgrain Ribbon... the sentiment is from the new Trendy Trees stamp set and the main tree image is the Lovely As A Tree stamp set. The pearls are from my stash.
The inside I stamped with the middle image of the stamp on the front of the card, I just coloured that particular tree in with the Black Stampin' Up! marker, and the sentiment is from one of their retired sets.
My bookworm counter has now hit 2000, but I dont have time today to make the draw, but I will be drawing it tomorrow at 10am UK time.... I am also expecting a huge box of Stampin' Up! stash as my Stampers 10 Stash is arriving and will be making the trip to the Post Office tomorrow afternoon hopefully. If you would like to join my new Stampers 10 Club starting in January, contact me on LindaLloyd@gmx.net, you can choose the month you would like to be hostess, plus you will get a free 6 x 6 paper pack with your first order. Check out my left hand sidebar for more details.
Have a great day all, I am sure I will xx

My son and daughter go to a local Scout Group and are running a tombola stall at our town Victorian Evenings (2 Thursdays at the beginning of December, all the shop workers dress up in Victorian outfits and there is a horse and carriage which drives along with Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in (obviously not real).... and I thought that if i was to give tins they would be yukky stuff that we dont eat.... lol, isn't that what everyone does, gives the tins that have been in their cupboards the longest? Anyway, I decided to make these card boxes, they have 3 Hershey chocolates in and 2 cards in each side, I thought these were a bit different and might attract peoples attention a bit more than just tins would.... lol
I did use last years Christmas Scrappin' Kit as I was donating it for nothing, I thought I would keep this years kit for something else...
For the top kit I used the retired Ski Slope Papers and Real Red and Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon and cardstock. The final details for each box is a loop of the Gold Elastic from Stampin' Up. I so love these colours, and I made these boxes without eating any of the Hersheys chocolates, how good am I?! Unfortunately I then made paella for dinner and had 3 small bowls..... oooops, we dont have it very often and it is my totally favourite meal.... lol
I notice we are nearly at the 2000 on my bookworm counter and I will be making the draw once it hits 2000, but I am going out tomorrow afternoon and wont be back until late, so I may have to make the draw on Thursday morning, but dont worry I wont forget as I am so excited about giving away all this lovely stash. I even have the pizza box ready to pack it all in... lol
I will be back tomorrow and tell you all about where I am going tomorrow and I also have a card all ready to post in case I dont have time to make one.... my 6 year son is having his school assembly tomorrow and the parents get to go and watch and see what they have been doing so far this year.... cant wait.
Have a good evening, take care xx

How would you like to earn 3 free Stampin' Up! stamp sets, plus £15 of free stash of your choice from the catalogue??
If you join my Spots and Markers Club starting in January and running for 4 months you can. Plus at the end of the 4 months you end up with a full set of markers in the big plastic box, plus ink in every colour of the 4 colour families.
For £45 you will get one colour family of Stampin' Spots (the little ink pads) and I colour family of the markers. During the 4 months this club runs each person will receive the big box for the markers to keep them in, this is only available if you order the full set of markers for £99.95, but this way you can spread the cost over the 4 months. In addition to this you will also have 48 Stampin' Spots which gives you all the colours that Stampin' Up! UK make in their colour families. Plus if that isn't enough, you will also receive a free Saleabration Set during 2 of the months because of the amount you are spending (I will add the extra sales into this so you get the sets), plus you will get to be virtual hostess for one of the 4 months which means you will get a Level 1 Hostess Set, plus £15 of free stash of your choice from the catalogue.... definitely a win-win offer.... for more information contact me on LindaLloyd@gmx.net. Dont forget, get your name on the list soon as there are only 4 places available.

How Would You Like 3 Free Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets?

Guess what, if any of you have been following Stampin' Up! for a while you will remember last January and February they introduced something called Saleabration. If you spent £45 in the current catalogue you could choose one of 4 stamp sets free.... and.. they will never be available to purchase from Stampin' Up! so you will not be able to buy them.
Anyway, I am setting up a special club which starts in January. It is the same as my Stampers 10 Clubs, but it is called Stampers 3. I only need 3 people for the group and you need to spend £50 in January, February and March. That means in January you will qualify for a free Saleabration Stamp Set, then in February you will also qualify for a free Saleabration stamp set, and during one of those months you will also be a virtual hostess so will get a Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set, plus an additional £15 worth of stash of your choice from the catalogue for free. Can't be bad! And you get to build up your collection of Stampin' Up! stash as you go. Easy.. for more information contact me on LindaLloyd@gmx.net and I will be pleased to help you, but be quick as there are only 3 spaces available.

My brain has been working overtime these last few days, and I have lots of new things in the pipeline.... check back over the next week to find out what they are, but one of the things is Card Workshops....
I intend to start Card Workshops, and am hoping to get 1 at least in before Christmas. I will be holding them at my house and as I am aiming for 6 people per class, I will have plenty of time to help you all out. They will run on a Thursday morning between 10am and 1pm. I will supply everything you need, all you will need to bring is a basic tool kit, a ruler, scissors, scorer and sticky stuff... everything else will be here waiting for you. There will be a charge for these classes to cover the cost of supplies and refreshments. If you live near Maldon Essex and are interested in attending, please email me at LindaLloyd@gmx.net to book a space. Deposits are needed and will go pretty quickly as there are only 6 places. More details on the class to follow next week, but it will be to do with Christmas. You will be making 3 cards with a difference and a box to put them in.
Thanks for looking.. xx

Hi all, life has once again taken over... my grandson who is 5 weeks old today was admitted to hospital Wednesday evening, he has been projectile vomiting and is not gaining weight, he has in fact only put on 1.5lb since he was born. His grandad (on his dad's side) had the same problem as a baby and needed an operation to right it, it is hereditary so is possible this is what my grandson has.... so Wednesday night they had a Surgical Team and a bed on standby in London, but typically, after being put on a drip stopped being so sick, so was sent home yesterday evening with medicine and an ultrasound appointment for 2 weeks time. Unfortunately overnight he started being sick again and out of 5 feeds, he projectile vomited 3 times and in the end was continually crying as he was so hungry, my poor daughter has not slept in days. Today he went back to hospital and as I type he should be having his ultrasound scan, depending on what they find depends on what happens next, she is moving from hospital to hospital at the moment as the scan as it a different hospital to where he was admitted. My other grandson who is 17 months old thinks he lives here at the moment, and he is also not very well (those awful colds going around at the moment) and really needs mummy and daddy at a time like this, but he is enjoying playing with my 6 and 8 year old, and daughter is happy he is worn out when he goes home... so fingers crossed that if there is anything wrong they will see it on the scan, if not, that he will stop being sick and start gaining weight....
Finally got around to making a card today, but only a simple one as I left my 16 year old in charge of my grandson whilst I did it... Recipe:- Patterned Paper - Stampin' Up! To The Nines Speciality PP. Cardstock - Stampin' Up! Sage Shadow, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White. Stamp Set:- Season of Joy, Circle of Friendship, Trendy Trees. Punches:- Stampin' Up! Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" circle, 1" circle, Eyelet Border. Misc:- Stampin' Up! Dazzling Diamonds, Glue Pen.
Hope you have a great evening girls... xx

I finally finished the cards at last..... so tomorrow after watching my little boy in his assembly I will be putting together a Card Class as I am thinking of starting Card Classes... not sure where to advertise them, but will also make some leaflets and go searching on Thursday. So if anyone reading this is interested in attending a Card Class in Maldon Essex on a Thursday morning between 10am and 1pm, drop us an email and let us know. All kit will be provided (for a fee) and all you will need to bring is a basic crafting kit..... you will also get refreshments and possibly some homemade cupcakes.... the theme will be Christmas of course (is there anything else at the moment).... date to be confirmed.
This card was made using Wintergreen Patterned Paper (retired Stampin' Up!) and Papertrey Ribbon, card is from Paper Mill Shop, bling is from my stash and sentiment is from Our Daily Bread stamps, same as yesterday.
And today I have decorated some of the insides as I made the card blanks out of coloured card.
For this card I used Kraft Cardstock from Stampin' Up! and the Wintergreen Patterned Papers again, the ribbon is Kraft Taffeta Ribbon from Stampin' Up! and the corners were cut using a cuttlebug die, the punch is from Martha Stewart and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.
Again I decorated the inside to match the outside as the card blank was made using the Kraft Cardstock.
This time I made a Criss Cross Card as I haven't made one of these for some time now.... I used retired Stampin' Up! Patterned Paper for this too and Always Artichoke Stamp Pad and Cardstock, I also used Whisper White and Old Olive Cardstock so it would all match. The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread and bling is from my stash. The ribbon is Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla Grosgain.
And this is what it looks like once you take the card out of the card. The Stamp Set I used on the white card is a Christmas one, but some of the stamps are suitable for all year round use as proved on this card, it is Season of Joy.
And this is the final card I made, Sentiment is Our Daily Bread, Patterned Paper is Stampin' Up! Retired stash, the little butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch as is the border punch. The flowers are from my stash, the brads are also Stampin' Up!
So that is all for today, will be changing my blog slightly as I want to add some tabs, for techniques, wishlist, tutorials, and somewhere my downline and Stampers 10 Clubs can chat too... I will also be hosting some new swaps, so if you like the stash but dont want to buy a whole packet or reel of ribbon keep looking out..
Have a great evening all xx
