Tutorial at Last.....
So finally I got my Why Not Make It Wednesday Tutorial edited and uploaded.... have had parents evenings, meetings etc this week and so have been really busy with family... hope you think the wait is worth it. I decided to show you how easy it is to make Embellishments out of Drink Cans, I did get DH to cut the top and bottom off for me as I am a liability when it comes to cans and sharp edges.... I also played around with the images on the video afterwards to get colours I liked more, but I was very conscious of how boring it would be watching me mess around on screen. I also think I got a better angle, although at one point you do see one of my cats walk along underneath my arms, luckily when it walked across my desk the camera did not pick it up.... ha ha...
And I have been dying to make a Tim Holtz type rose for ages and thought it would be ideal for using on the card I made using a tin embellishment... I did make a much grungier one using grungepaper, but it didn't really fit with the card, so it is sitting on my desk at the moment with all the children trying to nab it for various projects.... maybe I will need to show them how to make their own.
I did bling up the rose and the butterfly with Stickles Star Dust, you can just about see it on the rose but not on the butterfly, it really does sparkle in real life...
For the Card I used Basic Grey Wisteria papers and Elegant Eggplant, Sage Shadow, Almost Amethyst and Very Vanilla Stampin' Up! Cardstock, along with Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon, also from Stampin' Up!. I have all the Stampin' Up! colours of cardstock and find that normally they will match with all the papers I have whether they are Stampin' Up! or not, so really pleased about that as it is good quality cardstock. Anyway, guess you are here coz you want to see the video, so here it is...Hope you enjoyed it.... have a great weekend... xx
Copic Marker Metal Stands
I have 3 of the Copic Marker Metal Stands, they are really expensive to buy and I have hardly used them, never managed to find them in the UK so had to import them from America...
They hold all the copic markers as I have a selection of the Ciao (144 of them), plus another 100 of the Copic Sketch Markers and they all sat nicely in the racks together.... I now need to move them off my desk so have had to find another way of storing them.....
They are very heavy, so would like £50 each which would include postage... if you are interested please contact me on LindaLloyd@gmx.net. I would prefer to sell all 3 together, but will seperate if wanted...
Bad Blogger.....
Sorry I haven't updated my blog over the last few days, have had a manic week and just cannot quite get motivated, plus I have been sorting out my Card Class for next month as it is growing in popularity and I have to make more and more kits each month, I just love meeting all these new people.
Well to start the week, my daughter and grandson were in hospital from Saturday until Sunday... he is still losing weight and not gaining, he was nearly 8lb when born 20 weeks ago and now weighs 11lb, so he is very tiny, but always gives me a great big grin. They still dont know why he is so sick, he has had various medicines for reflux, but none of them seem to make any difference. You can set your watch by the time he is sick after he has finished a feed... around 9 minutes he keeps it down, then the majority of it comes back up.... she is now swapping to bottle feeding him to see if this makes a difference, and so that other people can help her out more, we shall see what happens.
Then Saturday night DH mentions that there have been mudslides, deaths and injuries in Madiera.... guess what? That is where my Mum and Stepdad are on holiday.... so panic stations, ring sister, text and ring mum on her mobile, goes through to answer phone.... we actually dont know where she is staying so ring aunt and cousin. Cousin tells us she is staying in Funchal.... noooo, that is where the problems have been worst. He eventually tracks down the hotel and phone number so DH rings the hotel, they do have someone by that name staying, they will put us through to their room... well that sounds hopeful, hotel is obviously still standing then, but mum doesn't answer. Daughter rings from hospital, I cannot talk to her as on phone to my sister, so DH tells daughter what is going on, she panics, starts texting and phoning mum too. At midnight mum finally texts us all back to say she is fine. She has since rang to say there is devestation all around, so much mud and destruction, but the hotel where they are staying hasn't been touched. Phew, great relief.
So on now to what I have made... I have made a video for Wednesday but haven't got around to editing it properly yet, so that should be put up tomorrow, so look out for that, but I do have a card to show you today.... and here it is....
I used The Green Stack paper pad for this card, I love those papers and wish I had bought the chipboard now. The punch is Martha Stewart and the ribbon is Stampin' Up! Kraft... the sentiment is computer generated.... so how about that I made a card using something other than Stampin' Up!.... I do so love Stampin' Up! tho as the quality is second to none...Have a great day all, dont forget to check back for my video tutorial tomorrow. xx

Why Not Make It Wednesday Video Tutorial - Faux Buttons
Well another Wednesday is here, and this week I have made a tutorial on making Faux Buttons.... if you can make your own buttons then they can match any project you make and are always on hand, if you run out you can just make more..... did try shooting this video from a different angle, but still not ideal, will try yet another one next week.... will get there eventually... lolTackle It Tuesday Colour Challenge #3
Right, it is Tuesday fortnight and time to draw my Colour Challenge #2.....On the this fortnight's Colour Challenge, have picked the following colours because I thought they went well together, haven't quite managed to get the colours looking right, but the names are underneath so that should help a bit.... and here they are....

and here is the inside of the card...... again Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Cardstock along with Basic Black, and the To The Nines Speciality Paper.... the white shape is a Nestabilities Label Die.Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge

and below is my interpretation of it.... and it is the first card I have made in my newly organised craft area.... woohoo...

The little blue button from the Button set, the Black and White Gingham Ribbon and the Black and Very Vanilla Striped Ribbon... The sentiment is from Verve Stamps and the little pearls are from my stash. The scallop edges were punched using the SU Scallop Border Punch....
Hope you like, will be back tomorrow with some more cards... have a great evening all xx
My New Craft Area.....
So not too much has changed on my main desk except I got rid of the trofast storage I had a put a 9 drawer unit in the middle instead, this leaves me more room to work and my monitor then sits on top of it, the drawers under the desk have been shuffled around a bit and my Cricut Expression still sits on my desk, I am worried that if I put it away I would never use it.... lol
This part is where most of the new storage is.... the shelves are kitchen units and I bought glass shelves for them as I thought they looked less obtrusive than wood ones, I also bought all the storage boxes too and there are even some that are still empty, they are the ones without labels in, yes I have finally got around to labelling stuff too... my flowers are piled sky high in drawers (yes I know why does one person need so many flowers and yet can never find what they want) and I got my mini sewing machine out to sit on the desk too..... the small white shelves that I had on my desk before now sit on top of the new white units.
Now this is the storage inside my mirror Pax Wardrobes, the middle sliding drawer holds all my current SU Stamp Sets and believe me it holds a lot, I do have most of them.... the top drawer holds all the SU punches that we have plus other punches too including my Martha Stewart ones... (I also have 2 other drawers of punches under the desk), the bottom sliding drawer holds my 40+ Cricut Cartridges and the white boxes at the bottom hold old magazines, US and non Current SU stamp sets and odds and ends to alter.... the very top shelf holds my PaperTrey Ink Cardstock and the next shelf down has my PTI ribbon and buttons....
This single wardrobe holds a drawer unit which holds tons of 12 x 12 Patterned Paper by loads of different companies, one of the large blue containers holds all my 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 Paper Pads another holds all my SU wheels and handles, another holds chipboard books and boxes, the drawers hold odds and ends like staples and staplers, spare blades for my Fiskars Trimmer, glue refills, small pom poms, just tons of odds and ends....
This double wardrobe holds my Paperwork for SU, including all my Tax Returns, invoices, the SU magazines we get, all my Tim Holtz stuff including paint dabbers, distress inks, stamp sets, all the staples, embossing powders, crackle paint, twisters, masks and anything else Tim Holtz you can think off.... aahh yes if you look carefully you can also see my Watercolour Pencils and on the bottom shelf is my printer labels and photo paper.... My Bazzill Basic Cardstock is on one of the shelves, one of the brown boxes holds all the Scrapbook Kits I bought and haven't used, the other one holds my Bind It All and all the wires and covers etc.... and also on the top shelf are some Scrapbook Albums that I have completed for myself...
The above photo is of all the wardrobe doors shut, I chose mirror doors to make our bedroom look bigger when it is filled up with my Craft Stuff.... ha ha. Unfortunately children finger prints and dog noses have made them not so clean and shiny....
This is my SU Ribbon Storage, it is hung on the end of the Mirror Wardrobes, my other ribbon is in 9 jars which are in one of the blue boxes in the first wardrobe storage....
and this shelf sits beneath the ribbon with all my dies that I have left on it (I sold 100s last summer at a car boot sale)..... Aaah yes my Quickutz dies are in the Paper Storage drawer inside the mirror wardrobe, they sit nicely in 2 big books filled with special QK binder storage sheets....
This is my SU Patterned Paper Storage, my SU Textured Card, Scrappin Kits and Chipboard, plus I have snuck in some October Afternoon and Basic Grey, and my Scenic Route (RIP)... my SU stamp sets and refills sit on top of it....More Pheasant Cards....
I got so carried away whilst making my pheasant tutorial the other week, I stamped out loads of pheasant images, so just had to make more cards, always handy having mens cards and I also put 4 of them in a plastic box with envelopes to give away to someone, the card at the back is the plastic box which is why it looks strange, the flash bounced off of it....
I stamped the card blank with images from the Autumn Days stamp set in versamark ink... I used the Scallop Border Punch for the scallops and various different colours of the Stampin' Up! Patterned Paper.... The Happy Birthday and Thank You sentiments are from the Happy Moments Saleabration Set... I am just loving the Saleabration Sets for the sentiments....Have a great evening everyone, take care xx
Stamp Set for Haiti

This is a little tag I made using More Mustard, chocolate Chip, Whisper White and the Speciality Designer Paper To The Nines...
And here is the card I made, again using More Mustard, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and Always Artichoke, the little leaves you can see come from the Saleabration Set Good Neighbours.
And here they are both together, would make a lovely card with matching card, maybe for Mother's Day...
