A Great Assembly...

Today I went to watch my 8 year old son in his assembly, every term or so they perform an assembly for the parents so they can see what they have been learning that term. This term he has been learning about Henry VIII. He brought an invitation home on Monday with a drawing of Henry VIII on, and it really did look like him, then today his class acted out a "This Is Your Life" of Henry VIII..... and even his beheaded wives were there... lol It was excellent and they all sang along to Greensleeves twice... awesome.

My mum came back from her holiday in Cyprus yesterday, and popped round today, she brings the children crisps and biscuits each week as a treat and today was no exception. She was in Cyprus for 3 weeks, but she didn't enjoy it very much, she did go 20 years ago and she loved it, but she says she wouldn't go back again, it was very expensive, they couldn't afford to eat out, plus the buses stopped running about 6.30pm, so they would also have had to get a cab back to the hotel. Out of the 21 days only 5 were sunny, the rest it either rained, thundered or lightening... what a shame when you spend so much money on a holiday and it doesn't turn out how you hoped...

Have today downloaded (legally) U2s new album and they will be announcing their tour on 9th March so not long to go now.... we last went to see them in Poland in July 2005, what an awesome time we had, and it is amazing how all these Polish people know the words to all their songs, I do wonder if they know what they are singing about, especially when they sang Yahweh!! Must admit their album is a bit slower than normal, their latest single is the most upbeat song, followed closely by Magnificent, but the others are much slower, cant see how they are going to rock stadiums with these.....

Anyway, on to the card I have for you today....

I have used Live Your Dream Stamp Set, the sentiment is computer generated. I used Very Vanilla Ribbon and Cardstock along with Night of Navy Cardstock. The image was stamped with Night of Navy, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie inks. The border was cut using my Fiskars Border Punch.

Have a great evening all xx

K Werner Colour Challenge....

I thought today I would make a card for the K Werner Colour Challenge just because the colours are so awesome, but when I sat down to make it I didn't have a clue what to do, so I also went for a Mojo Monday Sketch....

and this is what I came up with....

All the cardstock is the suggested colours in the challenge, the patterned paper is from Stampin' Up!, the Real Red Patterned Paper is only available if you get a Level 1 Hostess Set and is in the 6 x 6 Patterned Paper Pack. The brads are also Stampin' Up! in Black, Green Galore and Real Red. The Image was stamped using the Live Your Dream Stamp Set and the Sentiment is from the God's Blessings Stamp Set.

And here is the inside using Real Red, Whisper White and Basic Black Cardstock, scalloped using the Scallop Edge Punch, the Patterned Paper is So Saffron Patterned paper and the gems are from my stash. Hope you like it...
Thank you for the comments on my little boy's face, it looks much better today with only his lip and forehead noticeable. He did go to Beaver's last night and is being enrolled next week... but he was worried about going to school today as he thought everyone would laugh at his face. I asked him if someone else had hurt their face would he laugh at them... he said "yes"... not quite what I was expecting, but I followed it up with "then they are entitled to laugh at you aren't they"...which he then had to think about.
Have a great evening everyone xx

Not made entirely from Stampin Up but....

I think it is very pretty, although I guess I am prejudice, I did make it after all...

I used the stamp from the Live The Dream stamp set...

I have also been busy making a little Stampin Up Christmas folder, but cannot show it yet as it was freebie gifts for my Stampin Up customers and they haven't all received their parcels yet, so you will have to wait for another day I am afraid.

Soooo Exciting...

Yes the new catalogue goes live at noon tomorrow, and I have a really big order to put in at that time, hope they dont run out of anything as I have sold a lot of the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp sets at 20% off and also a load of the new scallop punches. These are similar to the Fiskars Threading Water punches but glide through cardstock like a knife through butter, unlike the Fiskars one which I always think will break when I use it on cardstock (as they are only intended for thick paper). Stampin Up are also doing an excellent offer if you spend over £20 you can get 20% off of 3 new stamp sets which make them an absolute bargain...

If you log onto http://www.stampinup.co.uk/ after noon tomorrow you will be able to view this special deal and browse the new catalogue.

So that is the deal.... if you would like to purchase anything contact me at LindaLloyd@gmx.net.

Now is the time to join my new 10 month club, see top of the page for details, but I am sure a lot of you will have a big wishlist so why not take advantage of my 10 month club and not only get a new catalogue for nothing.... nadda.... zilch, you will also get a free hostess set and free goodies of your choice from the catalogue on your hostess month, along with 4 freebie gifts, newsletters with special offers and some instructions on how to make selected projects over the 10 months.

I have been busy today making cards and have made this Stampin Up card, nice and bright to make someone feel better on a day like today.

Recipe:- Retired Rose Red Patterned Paper (still available at £7.75 a pack), Old Olive, Whisper White and Rose Red Cardstock, Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon, and the new stamp set Live Your Dream which will be available tomorrow... The colours dont look as bright as they really are because the light is awful for taking photographs today..

Thats all for today, still have loads of cards to make and am wanting to use my stampin up sets, so check back regularly for updates...

Have a good evening all
