A Good Card Workshop

Well I had my second card workshop today, the ladies enjoyed themselves and are coming back next month.... so couldn't have been too bad!

The weather here is awful, we have torrential rain (although I would prefer snow), and it is grey and wet and very cold... bah!!!

But I still have something to show you. I made this yesterday afternoon after seeing a tutorial for it on SplitCoastStampers and is shown by Yvonne Hagane... thank you very much for this Yvonne....

This little faux leather purse is made completely out of cardstock, Close To Cocoa Cardstock to be precise, it was embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder, inked using Close to Cocoa Ink and then embossed using Stampin' Up! Clear Embossing Powder. I stitched around the outside, added a fancy brad to look like a catch and stuck small magnets to it would stay closed, and stuck some ribbon all around both sides and used a retired Hodgepodge Hardware buckle for each piece of ribbon... voila... how good does this look, an excellent way of giving money or a gift card as a gift....

Keep your eyes peeled, will be back tomorrow as I have tons to make... take care and stay safe all xx

Thought I Would Go For Something Different....

Yep, I was getting bored with those colours, so thought I would try something different today, and stamped and coloured some images... It is my little boys birthday on Saturday, so thought I would be really prepared and make him a card, didn't use too much Stampin' Up! today either...

I used my Prismacolor Pencils, Sansodor and Paper Stumps to colour in the Sugar Nellie image. The patterned paper is Basic Gray, I also used the Stampin' Up! Hodgepodge Hardware, and tied a piece of Kraft Taffetta Ribbon (also Stampin' Up!) to a piece of the Hardware. The big eyelet is surprisingly enough also Stampin' Up!. The sentiment is from the stamp set A Bit of Birthday Cheer. I used Kraft Cardstock for the card blank.

I again used Basic Gray Paper, the card blank and red cardstock is Real Red from Stampin' Up! as are the brads and the ribbon. The image is from Leanne Ellis which I bought from Funky Kits and it is coloured in using my Stampin' Up! waterbrush and Tim Holtz Distress Inks. The flowers are Prima and the sentiment is the same as the last card from A Bit of Birthday Cheer Stamp Set. For the inside I used Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray and Whisper White Cardstock... I dont have anyone in mind for this card so will put it in my very depleted card basket.
My son's basketball team lost their tournament yesterday, in fact they only won one game, so better luck next time guys....
And today is also my little Pug's birthday, Happy Birthday to you Belle, she is 2 today.... this is a rare photo of her sleeping on her own, she normally sleeps on top of our Great Dane...

Have a great evening everyone.. take care xx

Finished... WooHoo....

As you may have noticed, I am absolutely thrilled by the fact that I finished all my Christmas Cards and thy are now posted to everyone they need posting to... I even made a special one for DH's Boss.... his wife runs a chicken business advising people on how to keep chickens etc, so here is the card I made for them....

I sponged on a lot of the the Blue SU inkpads, and used the So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie for the moon. I used the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set which I stamped in versamark and embossed with black embossing powder... I drew snow around the trees with the SU White Ink Pen. The sleigh was made using my cricut and the chickens are quickutz dies... the gold "reins" is the gold elastic from SU.

I also made another card using the Lovely As A Tree Stamp Set, it is just so versatile and can be used for almost any occasion...

I used Kraft and Real Red cardstock and Bashful Blue Patterned Paper, I embossed the trees using white embossing powder. The swirl is from the Hodgepodge Hardware set and the brads are from Stampin Up... the sentiment is from Verve Stamps...

That's all I have to show you today, if you would like to check out more of my cards, then go take a look at my other blog www.agaggleofgadgetsandscrappingtoo.blogspot.com.

Have a good evening all xx

Another Card With The Same Stamp Set....

Yep, it is official, I love this Stamp Set, A Rose is A Rose, it is sooooo versatile... this time I used Sahara Sand, Real Red and Old Olive Cardstock (can you see where I used the Old Olive?) and Patterned Paper from Holiday Treasures, a bit of Kraft Taffeta Ribbon and Old Olive Brads, the Sentiment is from Best Yet which is a Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set (place an order for £150 with me and get this stamp set for free, plus you can also have £15 of free goodies from the catalogue and I will post it all to you for nothing).... and the scallops were cut using the Scallop Edge Punch, except for the nestabilities Scallop Oval... I used Real Red and Ruby Red Ink, with Old Olive for the petals. The silver sentiment frame is from the Hodgepodge Hardware...

Well we have had thunder, lightening, snow, hail and rain here since it got dark this evening, the roads are now a mess so hoping it doesn't all freeze tonight, will be a nightmare during rush hour tomorrow if it does... think I may just have a lie in tomorrow...

DH is fixing my tumble dryer, the parts turned up today, so hope that the original problem is the only problem, as there are 9 of us here, we do generate quite a bit of washing, and it is very hard to keep up with it all without a tumble dryer, and I end up with double the ironing which cuts into valuable crafting time.

Off to crack the whip.... have a good evening x

A Receipt Holder....

I have made a CD receipt holder which I saw on this blog http://waltzingmouse.blogspot.com/2008/09/tutorial-for-my-cd-receipt-organiser.html except this talented lady made a Christmas one, but I seem to need one for my everyday purchases... I used all Stampin' Up! items to make this...

This is the CD case when it is shut, there is no decoration on the outside, so if you have a large enough handbag, you can slip this inside, along with the kitchen sink and you will always have your receipts with you when you need them.

This is what it look like when it is opened, I have used More Mustard and Old Olive Cardstock, the new scallop edge punch to make the scallop shapes and the Haiku Patterned Paper.

I have used the new Accents and Elements Felt Flowers with Old Olive brads. the brad in the centre of the flower on top of the scallop is from the new Hodgepodge Hardware set, and the scallop is cut out using the scallop punch. The tabs on the top of the sections are the little tabs cut using the tab punch. The stamped sentiment is from One Of A Kind Stamp Set.

I just need 1 more person for my Markers and InkSpots club, so if you want to join, hurry as it is bound to go fast. Contact me on LindaLloyd@gmx.net

And as I said a few weeks ago on my blog there is going to soon be something special for my Stampers 10 and Markers Club members, watch this space whilst my blog undergoes a makeover....

Not all Stampin Up...

but I have used a wonderful Stampin Up set called True Friend....

The paper is by Crate Paper, and the little frill I made using one of my Martha Stewart punches. The little metal hardware tag is from the Stampin Up Hodgepodge Hardware which is still on sale but has retired so if you want this set which contains 138 little metal embellishments, contact me on LindaLloyd@gmx.net for more information. The little embellishment was originally silver but I embossed it with white embossing powder to match the card...

Have a good day all
