Giveaway Wednesday.....

Just a quick post this morning as I am going to watch my 7 year, Malachi's assembly, and then straight from their I am taking my 9 year old, Elijah to the hospital as he has an appointment with the consultant there, fingers crossed they will dishcarge him today as it is not our local hospital and a bit of a trek to get there.... then this afternoon, well, it is total house blitz ahead of my card class tomorrow.... lol. I do clean and tidy my house daily but am always paranoid when people come around incase they can smell my cats and dogs, so splash loads of bleach and cleaning stuff around.....

Oh yes, you are wondering why I am here waffling..... well I have another giveaway as shown below, the first person to comment will win it and if it is early I may even get it in the post later this afternoon (depends how long we are at the hospital for, last time is was just over 4 hours)....
Your comments won't show until I authorise them, so you may think you are first when you aren't, sorry about that, but I will email you or post in the appropriate post if you have won, so look out for that if you think you are first.

Have a great day, cya all later xx

Haven't Been Up To Much......

Haven't really been up to much, although now I think about it I was very busy last Friday, just haven't photographed the cards yet... will have to sort that out.

But..... in the meantime I threw this Valentine Card together in about 5 minutes flat as I was trying to demonstrate to someone what was in my head, so if you have a lot of loves of your life, then this is the ideal card for you coz you can make about 12 in an hour.... lol

I used Basic Black, Whisper White and Real Red Cardstock. The Scallop Border Punch and Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon... the hearts were cut out using the Heart to Heart Punch.... the word LOVE is from the Basic Phrases Set.....

Have been busy today putting together a video tutorial for tomorrow, I hope you will like it, so dont forget to check back tomorrow.... also there is another week to go to submit your challenge for the Tackle it Tuesday Colour Challenge... just look in the left hand column and click on the #2 Challenge and it will take you to the post. There will be a small parcel of candy for the winner picked out by Random.Org... I was going to pick the winner myself but I found it too difficult last time... so there you go.

Have a great day all, take care xx

BLOG CANDY

I have made the draw this morning, first of all I removed posts if someone had made more than 1 comment so that everyone had one comment each, that left 26 posts. The winner is number 10.... I couldn't get the random.org table to save anywhere for some reason...

Number 10 is.....
Molsmum
Can you please email me at LindaLloyd@gmx.net with your address please so that I can get your blog candy posted off to you.
Thank you for everyone who took part, keep checking back as I will have some more freebies soon.

THIS POST WILL STAY AT THE TOP UNTIL MY BOOKWORM COUNTER HITS 2000, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE UP TO DATE POSTS.

Well as promised yesterday here is some Blog Candy for you, there are Botanical Blooms and Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set, Tea Party Patterned Paper, Striped Pink Grosgrain Ribbon and a Scallop Edge Punch. I am giving these items away as I am feeling in a generous mood after coming in 9th place of Demonstrator of the Year...

To win this there are a few things I would like you to follow:-

1. Add a comment to this post and then post about my blog candy on your blog (you will see why in a minute).

2. Tell all your friends about it, the more the merrier.

3. Add yourself as a follower, (not sure why I want you to do that, but would just boost my ego a bit... lol)

Right, this blog candy will be drawn as soon as my counter (the bookworm, this was reset when I customised my blog) reaches 2000..... so the more people you tell about the blog candy, the quicker the time will come around, and if you post about it on your blog the more people will come and visit mine and the quicker the little counter will count up.... simple eh!!

Just wanted to say that the Polka Dot Punches Stamp Set can be used with the Stampin' Up! punches Scallop Circle and 5-Petal Flower... if the winner would like to purchase these punches to go with their set then I will give them 10% off and post them out for free alongside their blog candy...

This will stay at the top until my counter reaches 2000, and I am trying to post every day so there is always something new to look at... and that is it... good luck to you all, and I will get Random.Org to pick out a number soon...

Take Care all, have a great day xx

A Little Something For Scouts...

My son and daughter go to a local Scout Group and are running a tombola stall at our town Victorian Evenings (2 Thursdays at the beginning of December, all the shop workers dress up in Victorian outfits and there is a horse and carriage which drives along with Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in (obviously not real).... and I thought that if i was to give tins they would be yukky stuff that we dont eat.... lol, isn't that what everyone does, gives the tins that have been in their cupboards the longest? Anyway, I decided to make these card boxes, they have 3 Hershey chocolates in and 2 cards in each side, I thought these were a bit different and might attract peoples attention a bit more than just tins would.... lol

I did use last years Christmas Scrappin' Kit as I was donating it for nothing, I thought I would keep this years kit for something else...

For the top kit I used the retired Ski Slope Papers and Real Red and Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon and cardstock. The final details for each box is a loop of the Gold Elastic from Stampin' Up. I so love these colours, and I made these boxes without eating any of the Hersheys chocolates, how good am I?! Unfortunately I then made paella for dinner and had 3 small bowls..... oooops, we dont have it very often and it is my totally favourite meal.... lol

I notice we are nearly at the 2000 on my bookworm counter and I will be making the draw once it hits 2000, but I am going out tomorrow afternoon and wont be back until late, so I may have to make the draw on Thursday morning, but dont worry I wont forget as I am so excited about giving away all this lovely stash. I even have the pizza box ready to pack it all in... lol

I will be back tomorrow and tell you all about where I am going tomorrow and I also have a card all ready to post in case I dont have time to make one.... my 6 year son is having his school assembly tomorrow and the parents get to go and watch and see what they have been doing so far this year.... cant wait.

Have a good evening, take care xx

Whew, Nearly The Weekend....

Well it seems like it has been a long long week this week, although it has been really nice to have some sun on most days, a pleasant change, even if it has been frosty in the morning. Have done a lot more walking this week in an effort to lose weight and I have only lost 1/4 lb, less than ever, what is going on, and tomorrow we are taking the boys to London and will be eating out and my willpower is virtually nil in these situations, so will have totally blown it for Monday. Plus husband and I have decided to cook another nice meal this Friday, he is cooking main course and he wont tell me what it is, but 2 parcels have turned up this week from Lakeland... should be interesting. I am cooking starter and dessert and he doesn't know what it is, but I guess he will once he looks in the fridge... lol Plus I have bought a nice bottle of white wine, we normally drink Hardy's of some kind but this week I have opted for Jacobs Creek Pinot Grigio or something like that... (DH is the australian one).... lol

Anyway, have been busy today packing up my Stampers 10 orders for my first group, and their parcels are whizzing their way to them at this moment, so hopefully they will get them tomorrow. They also have a little gift from me in their parcels too, hope they like it. Dont forget team, I have posted K Werners Colour Challenge on my Member's Forum and if 5 or more people submit a card for it and post it on my forum I will be giving away a free stamp set to one lucky randomly picked winner, so if you think I am not good at this, it doesn't matter, I wont be judging anyone's skills, just picking a name out of a hat... but, you've got to be in it to win it.

If anyone is thinking of becoming a Stampin Up Demonstrator, please e-mail me (LindaLloyd@gmx.net) for a great offer coming up soon, and all the goodies you can get free. You can sign up as a hobby demo just to get your own Stampin Up Stash at a discount, so contact me with any questions with no obligation to sign up...

And on to todays card...

The cardstock used is Stampin Up Really Rust and Blush Blossom, and the stamp I cannot remember who it is, but the sentiment is from the Stampin Up Set One of A Kind. And that is it for this week, I am now off to start our starters..... have a really great weekend and take care of yourselves... xx

Time is Running Out....

If you want to enter for my blog candy, all you have to do is enter a card using my Sketch here

Well I have been making some more cards, but only another 3 which means I have six of these card blanks left, so will have to make some more in these colours tomorrow... hope you are not getting too bored of them, but I do love the colours.

These were all made using the same colours as yesterday, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron. The Patterned Paper is Haiku... The front of the card was made using the Stampin' Up! cardstock flowers, the gems were from my stash and the Thanks was from the Thank You Kindly Stamp Set. The scallops were cut using the Scallop Edge Punch...

The front of the card was Stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink using the Bella's Bloom Stamp Set, I then added gems from my stash to the middle of the flowers. I used the Scallop Circle Punch to cut the Scallop Circle and the sentiment is from the Pocket Silhouettes Stamp Set. Same Cardstock and Patterned Paper as before.

Same Cardstock and Patterned Paper as before, the sentiment on the front is from the True Friend Stamp Set and I used my Nestabilities dies to cut out the shapes, the ribbon is Always Artichoke... again the gems are from my stash. The inside was again cut using the nestabilities dies and the Stamped Image is from A Beautiful Thing Stamp Set.
To all the people who are waiting on Stampin' Up! stash, I posted your orders out to you this afternoon, so they are winging their way to you as we speak. To anyone who would like to place an order, please e-mail me at LindaLloyd@gmx.net.
My son was playing in a BasketBall Tournament this afternoon and I need to pick him up from school soon, wonder if they won or not...
Have a great evening everyone, take care xx

I actually got round to making some cards....

And they are all made from Stampin' Up! Unfortunately not the 20 I had planned but I have made 3, I was going to make 20 3 x 3 cards, but I decided against it and I have 24 card blanks ready and waiting to be made into cards and they are a variety of sizes, just to make things a little bit different. I guess they take me longer as I like to decorate the inside too... I have photographed the insides so will show you them too...

For these cards I used Old Olive, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, I used the Stampin' Up! Cardstock Flowers on the front and the sentiment was from the Thank You Kindly Set, the inside Stamp Sets were Season Of Joy for the Green Swirl, I stamped the flower first using A Beautiful Thing Stamp Set in So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie, I then masked the flower and stamped the swirl over the top.... I think it looks quite attractive.. oh yes, the size is 4" x 4". I used the swirls cuttlebug folder and the spots cuttlebug folder to give it some dimension and the Patterned Paper is Haiku.
Next up is another 4" x 4" card...

I am using the same Patterned Paper and Cardstock throughout these cards, so again, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron Cardstock and Haiku Patterned Paper. Pumpkin Pie ribbon on the front of the card and again I used the Cardstock Flowers. The brads are Old Olive and the sentiment is from the Stamp Set Circle of Friendship, you get 8 sentiments in this set and they punch out nicely using the Stampin' Up! punches. Inside I used the same colour cardstock but used the Scallop Edge Punch on the Patterned Paper. All supplies are Stampin' Up!.

This time the card is an A6 size, and again I used the same colour cardstock, Old Olive, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. The ribbon on the front of the card is Old Olive, and the Image comes from the Garden Whimsey Stamp Set, I coloured the stamp in with the Stampin' Markers and stamped it that way, so I could use 2 colours. The "Thank You" sentiment is from the Occasional Greetings Stamp Set. On the inside I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the edge of the So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and I used the Cardstock Flowers... the Patterned Paper is Haiku. Hope to make some more cards in these colours tomorrow, bit of a challenge getting them all different but using the same colours, so should be fun.
And apart from making cards I have no other news to share... aaaah, but a letter was sent home via my son today to say this Academic Year he has already got 30 merits, so very proud of him as it is his first year at Secondary School.
Dont forget to take part in my Blog Candy Challenge, you have until Saturday to submit a card and you can find out more here.
Dinner is now ready, so off to have that.... have a great evening all xx

I Have Some Entries....

For my blog candy, and very nice they are too, thank you everyone who has entered so far, for putting in the effort and giving me some much needed inspiration too...

I went to my daughters for dinner last night as I said in my last post and it was yummy, yummy, yummy, I just soooo love Paella, and then we had chocolate cake and cream for dessert, so glad I am not on a diet as everyone had two helpings of Paella to start with.... he he I meant to take my camera and photograph it, but forgot, but I guess that is just as well for all of those who are currently on a diet.

My offering today is another card...

No stamping at all on this one, I have no idea who the patterned paper is from, but the ribbon is Very Vanilla Grosgrain from Stampin' Up and Mellow Moss Taffetta Ribbon also from Stampin Up. The sentiment is computer generated, the cardstock is Very Vanilla and I used the Scallop Edge Punch (yep, Stampin' Up! again) to make the scallops...

Hope to be back later with something else.... keep your eyes peeled, and if you haven't done already, dont forget to enter the Blog Candy Competition, unfortunately Stampin' Up! cannot be shipped outside of the UK, but I would still like to see what our international crafters have made... have a good day all xx

Dont forget the blog candy I am giving away.... A Stampin' Up! Saleabration set of your choice, and to win this all you have to do is make a card using my Sketch Challenge (see post below for my card) and post a comment in my comment box with a link to your card, or if you dont have a blog to post on, then just send me an e-mail of your card. So today I have another card to share with you...

I made this using Night of Navy, Real Red and Kraft Cardstock from Stampin' Up! and the big eyelets are also Stampin' Up!... I used 2 cuttlebug folders, one for the diamond shapes on the main body of the card and a border one for the bottom line of dots. The Stamp Set is from http://www.ourdailybreaddesigns.com/stampsets.html they have some awesome stamps there and their postage and delivery is good too....

I cut the shape using my Cricut Expression from So Saffron Cardstock, I then cut the other shapes using my Nestabilities Dies in Rose Red and Tempting Turquoise (all Stampin' Up! colours). The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the butterfly is a Spellbinders Die, I finished off by dotting liquid pearls around the edge.... hope you like it...

Our Card Swap....

A while ago now (well before Christmas anyway), we had a 3 x 3 card swap over at In Love With Stamping, 10 of us made 10 cards each and sent them to the lady organising the swap... she in turn sorted one of each of the 10 different cards and posted them back to us, hence we send in one design but receive 10 of them back.... and here is the card that I made for the swap....

For this I used a card blank of Always Artichoke and layered it with Rose Red Cardstock and So Saffron Patterned Paper. The Scallop Circle was cut from Always Artichoke and then a circle cut from Rose Red. I stamped the image for Carte Postale onto So Saffron Cardstock using Always Artichoke Ink and then cut that out using one of the Stampin' Up! punches too. I finished the middle off with a small pearl from the Pretties Kit. The ribbon is Always Artichoke Grosgrain Ribbon. Voila easy to make 10 of these for the swap. I am now hosting my own swap and have to make another 20 cards for it.... busy busy busy...
Dont forget to enter for my blog candy (yesterdays post), if you already have this Saleabration Set you can pick one of the others for your prize if you win....

Have a great evening all xx

Wow I have Reached 10,000 Hits. How About Some Blog Candy....

Wow, cannot believe I have reached 10,000 hits on my blog, and as that is a huge amount I thought I would give away some blog candy, but as that is a huge number, I thought I would make it a bit different this time. I have decided to launch a Card Challenge and everyone who enters a card for the challenge (or scrapbook layout if you are a scrapbooker, you will just have to be a bit imaginative on the sketch).... will be included in the draw. So.... get making girls as this is what the prize is....

Yep, it is a Stampin' Up! Saleabration Stamp Set.... you will not be able to buy these from Stampin' Up!, you would normally have to spend £45 to get it free, but all you need to do is enter a card into my challenge and place a link on your blog (if you have one) letting everyone know about this great competition.... and as for the Sketch, this is my first attempt at drawing one, so be kind to me....

And you have until 24th January to enter (as this is my little boys birthday).... so I look forward to seeing what you have made, please leave a comment and put a link to your card in with your comments so that I can take a look and leave you a comment back... if you dont have a blog no problem, send me an e-mail of your card instead at LindaLloyd@gmx.net. Sorry but this prize can only be shipped to UK residents...
I thought I would also show you a card I have made....

I'm not sure who makes the papers, they were just scraps I had left, the Image and Sentiment are from Stampin' Up! US and are called Refuge and Strength, the flowers are Prima and so are the Leaves, the Stamping was stamped in Old Olive Stampin' Up! ink.
Off to check on my little boy at the moment, he is running a temperature and is fine until the medicine starts wearing off, and he has a dentist appointment this afternoon, so hoping if I give him his Calpol just before then he will feel up to going as he has been complaining of a toothache recently, and if you miss an appointment with our Dentist it can take up to 2 months to make another one. Unfortunately I was unable to do our weekly shop this morning as I didn't want to drag him round the shops, so Daddy will have to do it this evening.... terrible shame!!! lol Unfortunately is was supposed to be my litle boys first night at Beavers this evening and it now looks like he wont be able to make it, and he has been waiting so long to join his brother there... lets hope all these bugs, colds and virus' retreat soon and everyone gets over their ailments.
Have a great day everyone, take care xx

And The Winner Is......

Well I must say, have had a bit of hassle getting this posted. For some strange reason, every evening, my google e-mail refuses to work and guess what, yep blogger is also google owned too and that doesn't work either. DH has spent most evenings lately trying to get it to work (and he is an IT geek) and it just wont work, and it is only my computer. So have now downloaded Firefox and guess what, it works.... so finally here is the post...

And number 33 is the winner, which is Jackie, so Jackie, if you are reading this could you please let me know your name and address so that I can post it out to you pronto.
A big thank you to all who entered this competition, keep checking back as there will be some more blog candy in the not too distant future.
Oh yes, it also took longer to pick the number as DS who is blindfolded was in just his pants as that is how he goes to bed, but he had to go and put his PJs on before we could photograph him....
Have a good evening all, I have some cards to post on here tomorrow so check back then... xx
