Wedding Card Season....

So the season of Weddings is now starting and a lady I met last week asked if I could make her a Wedding Card as she was fed up with the cards she saw in the shops.... the lady just asked what I did and I said I make cards and teach at Card Workshops.... she was thrilled. I made a card for her took it to her house and she was over the moon, so that makes me happy if she is happy.

I used Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White Cardstock from Stampin' Up! and some matte silver card that I had in my stash. I used the Mr & Mrs Stamp Set also from Stampin' Up! and the wheel that matches it for the bottom part of the card. I finished it off with a little pearl from the Pretties Kit.

But then I always decorate the insides of my card too, for this I used the Forever Flowers Wheel again, the sentiment was computer generated and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the lacey hearts... and a few more little pearls from the Pretties Kit....
Off to Ally Pally tomorrow to increase my stash mountain... lol
Have a great weekend, take care xx

Yay.... I am feeling happy....

Because I am getting through my to do list today pretty well, and have nearly finished it. First thing I went to the Doctor's as my blood pressure has been high for over a month now and on Tuesday when I went to see the nurse it was still high, so she booked me an appointment with the Doctor today, and guess what, it was normal, so she wants to see me in a month just to check. My daughter also went along to the Doctors to get something to help her give up smoking, whether she will succeed or not I do not know, but let's hope so...

Cant say too much about other things I have done incase DH decides to read my blog today, but I did make his Valentine's card today and have sorted a couple of other things. I also got my tickets for The Killers today, soooooo excited, just over a week to go, I just so cannot wait, although I still have things to scrap from when I went to see them 2 years ago in Berlin... I collected all the bling that fell from the ceiling and DH managed to get me the guitarists plectrum which he threw out into the crowd.... I do have one of our photographs from then as my desktop though... he he

Anyway now to todays card...

The colours used are Not Quite Navy and Bravo Burgundy Cardstock. The Patterned Paper is form my stash, the punch used on the inside of the card is Martha Stewart. The Stamp Set I used is Carte Postale, the idea came from the Stampin' Up! catalogue, which used the same sentiment as I did from God's Blessings. The pearl is from the Pretties Kit.

Have a good Friday evening all xx

No snow here, but I have been productive...

So the rain in Spain has come to my home town and it is miserable, and the rain is melting the last of the snow, guess that is what happens when you live on the coast.

Today I have been quite productive, I have actually made 4 cards and packed and posted another Stampin' Up! Stampers 10 Club order out to all the girls. But I am only going to show you one card, so that I have some to post when I dont make any.... lol

I got a lot of inspiration for this card from the Stampin' Up! catalogue. The Cardstock I used is Really Rust, Whisper White, Old Olive, and the Patterned Paper is Cosmo Cricket. The Stamp Set I used is Baroque Motifs, with Very Vanilla Taffetta Ribbon and pearls etc from the Pretties Kit. I used the same Cardstock for the inside but used my Martha Stewart Punch for the edges. The circles were cut using various sizes of the Stampin' Up! circle punches.
And that is about it for today, need to go cook a roast for dinner and maybe I will get time to sit and read my book whilst it is cooking. Have a good evening all xx

Our Card Swap....

A while ago now (well before Christmas anyway), we had a 3 x 3 card swap over at In Love With Stamping, 10 of us made 10 cards each and sent them to the lady organising the swap... she in turn sorted one of each of the 10 different cards and posted them back to us, hence we send in one design but receive 10 of them back.... and here is the card that I made for the swap....

For this I used a card blank of Always Artichoke and layered it with Rose Red Cardstock and So Saffron Patterned Paper. The Scallop Circle was cut from Always Artichoke and then a circle cut from Rose Red. I stamped the image for Carte Postale onto So Saffron Cardstock using Always Artichoke Ink and then cut that out using one of the Stampin' Up! punches too. I finished the middle off with a small pearl from the Pretties Kit. The ribbon is Always Artichoke Grosgrain Ribbon. Voila easy to make 10 of these for the swap. I am now hosting my own swap and have to make another 20 cards for it.... busy busy busy...
Dont forget to enter for my blog candy (yesterdays post), if you already have this Saleabration Set you can pick one of the others for your prize if you win....

Have a great evening all xx

Fun and Fast Notes

First of all I just have to tell you that my little grandson cut his first tooth today.... how exciting is that, note to self, no more putting fingers near his mouth....

Thought I would try something a little different to what I would normally do.... I made some cards and put them in a pretty little box, and I only used 1 Stamp Set really.... well the little flower inside and on the envelopes came from a second set, but that doesn't count really does it??

So I used the Fun and Fast Notes Stamp Set, the little flower out of One Of A Kind, I used Sage Shadow and Always Artichoke Cardstock and Inkpads, the grosgrain ribbon is Always Artichoke and the Patterned Paper is retired but still available and is called Wintergreen. The box is made from the same cardstock and paper and the ribbon is Certainly Celery, the white flower is from the Pretties kit, as is the little pearl in the middle... and voila a nice little present for someone's birthday, or just to show you care and doesn't take forever to make either.

Have been busy packing some Stampin Up Orders today, and added a little something to their parcels, but cannot show you yet, also went shopping in Tesco and whilst there, picked up a few things which I intend to use in my making in the future, so watch this spot for that. Next week is my card order week, and so I will be posting more non SU stuff, not that I dont absolutely love my SU stash, it is just that I have a load of new stamps that I haven't managed to use yet. I also need to make a card for my son's birthday on Saturday, he will be 24, doesn't time fly, I remember when I brought him home from hospital..

Have a good evening all, take care x

A Rose is a Rose....

Isn't this card beautiful?? This stamp set is absolutely wonderful and I just knew that if I did it in blue, it could become a Christmas Card for someone who doesn't really celebrate Christmas...

I used A Rose is a Rose Stamp Set, Brocade Blue Ribbon, Brocade Blue Cardstock and Inkpad, Bashful Blue Patterned Paper, and Bashful Blue Inkpad.... I used the clear gem brads from the Pretties Kit. I used the Dazzling Diamonds to bling up the rose and its petals which I think just makes it more magically Christmassy....

And if you would like to become a demonstrator and you sign up with me during October and November you could pick this Stamp Set and receive it FREE along with any other stamp set of your choice too.... problem is, I only need 1 more person to sign up, and then all the stamp sets will be gone. If you would like more information about becoming a Stampin Up Demonstrator, e-mail me at LindaLloyd@gmx.net

And I have survived the first day of half term...... a miracle in itself...

Have a good evening all x

Another Card...

Getting back into the swing of things, here is a card I made this week....

And here are the items I have used...

The Pretties Kit, Carte Postale and Occasional Greetings Stamp sets, Bashful Blue, More Mustard and Chocolate Chip ink pads, Bashful Blue, More Mustard, Whisper White cardstock. Whisper White and More Mustard ribbon, Le Jardin patterned paper.

At last...

I have managed to update my blog, been really busy sorting out my 10 ladies for the 10 month club. I also did my first workshop which I was told went well, here are the things I made for it and the make and takes too..

This was made using the Unfrogettable Stamp set and Green Galore and Only Orange cardstock, the big paperclip I got from Staples, I stuck it all together using Stampin Up dimensionals.

This was an example that I showed using the chalks to colour in the butterfly and the blender pen, I used Elegant Eggplant and Lavender Lace cardstock and Elegant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon, I used the Touch of Nature stamp set. I used the white pearls from the Pretties kit.

This little bucket was purchased from Woolworths, I decorated it with Taken with Teal and Elegant Eggplant cardstock, and stamped it using Be Happy, Seeing Spots and the In the Spotlight level 2 hostess stamp sets. I then filled a large cello bag with cookies and handed them to the hostess at tea time so everyone could have some biscuits.

Another card I used as an example on watercolouring with the inkpads. You just squidge the inkpads slightly before opening and then lift the colour from the lid with a watercolour brush. For this I used Old Olive Patterned Paper, Real Red cardstock and grosgrain ribbon, I used Old Olive, Bordering Blue and Black Inkpads for the colouring and coloured the flowers again with blender pens and chalks. The stamp sets I used were Loads of Love and the centre of the flower was Little Pieces. The sentiment was the one from Loads of Love but by using the Stamp-a-ma-Jig I managed to stamp it in a straight line instead of the square it normally is.... excellent.

This was my make and take, I found this brilliant template from Karin on Inlovewithstamping, and made my own photo wallet using her instructions. The top picture is the outside and the one with the photos are the inside.

I used Fall Flowers Patterned paper, always artichoke ribbon, I punched white circles out and stuck underneath to make the scallops in whisper white cardstock and the little stamped circle is from the Seeing Spots stamp set. The little green scallop is Old Olive cardstock, I punched a scallop circle, then a plain circle just inside and made my own scallop by cutting slightly and putting around the edge of the plain circle.

So that is about it for now, will be working hard once I get back from my holiday.

Have a good day xx
