Tomorrow is my littlest boy's birthday and he will be a whopping 7 years old. He is a big monster, so what better card to make than a monster card... lol
October Afternoon Patterned Paper, Sentiments are computer generated, the happy birthday was cut out using the small square punch from Stampin' Up! and the monster and feet are from the Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge, the lips are a quickutz die. And finally a Martha Stewart Edging Punch. Didn't take me too long which makes a nice change, and I am sure he will like it...
I have 3 new cards to show you today... I have been really busy making 70 Christmas Cards for my 2 little boys to write for their friends at school, plus I am making 30 boxes for Saturday and haven't even started yet.... lol
Patterned paper is from stash, flowers are made using 2 of the Stampin' Up! Punches, 5 Petal Flower and BoHo Blossomes, Cardstock is Night of Navy and Whisper White from Stampin' Up! and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.
Stampin' Up! Bravo Burgundy and Whisper White Cardstock. A Tree For All Seasons Stampin' Up! Stamp Set and the sentiment is Computer Generated.
I am posting my sister's birth congratulations card. So 2 posts in one day... go me!!
I bought these papers around 2 years ago when I was convinced my daughter was pregnant with a daughter, she had a boy and has gone on to have another boy too, so I still have these papers, so it is nice to be able to use them at last. They are Making Memories. The only Stampin' Up! I used this time is the crystal brad in the middle of the flower. I am not sure if I am happy with this card or not though, I am thinking it is maybe a bit jumbly, some people can do jumbly really well, but I dont think this card does that.... lol Anyway, need to take it round now so no chance to make another...
Sorry I didn't get back over the weekend, I did some Christmas Shopping (online of course... lol), we have even booked a pantomime for Christmas Eve, so looking forward to it, we are seeing Beauty and The Beast, I haven't seen that one before, and not all the children have seen the Disney version, so I think I will be hunting down some books, I remember when I was young I had the Beauty and The Beast Ladybird book, it was one of my favourite stories... Terrific Tuesday? not really sure why, have just put out some more leaflets for my Card Classes, so looking forward to that next week, getting to meet new people who share in my love of card making... so more exciting things happening... also on Saturday I am off to a fellow crafter's Make And Take day and will meet loads of new people who I have seen online but never spoken to, so more exciting times..... so I am very excited today, so decided to name my post Terrific Tuesday.
So, here are a few cards I have made, I know the paper is Basic Grey, and so are the buttons, the sentiment is Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations, and the thread wound around the panel is also from Stampin' Up!
More Basic Grey papers, Pumpkin Pie Cardstock from Stampin' Up!, the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.
Er.... ha ha, forgotten who made this paper, I think it is Scenic Route, the flowers are from my stash... the cardstock is Stampin' Up! Pink Passion, I always seem to use some Stampin' Up! on my cards somewhere, I guess its because with more than 48 colours of cardstock you are always likely to find something that matches your papers.
Hmmmm I am doing quite a lot of these kind of cards lately, white, silver, black and none of them photograph that well...
This is my grandson, he is now 6 weeks old and my daughter asked me a few weeks ago (probably quite a few weeks ago) if I could make her some thank you cards for all the gifts that Cain received after he was born. And true to form and running late as usual I finally got round to making them today. I used Stampin' Up! Whisper White, Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy Cardstock. The ribbon is Stampin' Up! Striped Grosgrain. I embossed some of the Whisper White with an embossing folder.
The "Thanks" is the inside of the card, this is a die cut, cut using Bashful Blue Cardstock. Nearly forgot the stamped bit on the back of the card, but did remember in time... lol
You can see just how close we were to them, plus I got a Specials T Shirt, some button badges and a program.... plus plenty of beer to drink too....
To win this there are a few things I would like you to follow:-
Well this afternoon we are off to see The Specials... woohoo, another group from my youth, like Spandau Ballet who we saw last month.... cannot wait to see them, we are seeing them at The Cliffs Pavillion in Southend, so a nice small venue, and of course you cannot sit down if you are seeing a group like this, so standing it is..... and because when they were around in the 80s it was all black and white SKA music I decided that today I would have to make a black and white card, albeit not a very happy one though, but the idea came to me and I just had to make it...
I used the new Whisper White Craft Ink to stamp the image and then embossed it with white embossing powder, all from Stampin' Up! and the new White and Black Thick Grosgrain Ribbon... the sentiment is from the new Trendy Trees stamp set and the main tree image is the Lovely As A Tree stamp set. The pearls are from my stash.
The inside I stamped with the middle image of the stamp on the front of the card, I just coloured that particular tree in with the Black Stampin' Up! marker, and the sentiment is from one of their retired sets.
I did use last years Christmas Scrappin' Kit as I was donating it for nothing, I thought I would keep this years kit for something else...
For the top kit I used the retired Ski Slope Papers and Real Red and Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon and cardstock. The final details for each box is a loop of the Gold Elastic from Stampin' Up. I so love these colours, and I made these boxes without eating any of the Hersheys chocolates, how good am I?! Unfortunately I then made paella for dinner and had 3 small bowls..... oooops, we dont have it very often and it is my totally favourite meal.... lol
If anyone is interested in my Card Classes, you can click on the picture above and it will come up bigger, but the details are.... first one starts on Thursday 3rd December at 10am and finishes at 1pm. We will be making the 3 different style cards as shown on the centre photo and the box to match. All stash needed will be provided but you will need to bring a basic toolkit of scissors, glue, bone folder and ruler... I will have some tools to borrow if anyone forgets, and refreshments will also be provided. A full colour print out will be available to take home so can you carry on making the cards at home. I only have room for 6 people so places will go quickly... the cost of this Class is £7.50.

If you are interested in joining my team or just have some questions to ask, email me on LindaLloyd@gmx.net and I will be happy to help you.

Hi all, life has once again taken over... my grandson who is 5 weeks old today was admitted to hospital Wednesday evening, he has been projectile vomiting and is not gaining weight, he has in fact only put on 1.5lb since he was born. His grandad (on his dad's side) had the same problem as a baby and needed an operation to right it, it is hereditary so is possible this is what my grandson has.... so Wednesday night they had a Surgical Team and a bed on standby in London, but typically, after being put on a drip stopped being so sick, so was sent home yesterday evening with medicine and an ultrasound appointment for 2 weeks time. Unfortunately overnight he started being sick again and out of 5 feeds, he projectile vomited 3 times and in the end was continually crying as he was so hungry, my poor daughter has not slept in days. Today he went back to hospital and as I type he should be having his ultrasound scan, depending on what they find depends on what happens next, she is moving from hospital to hospital at the moment as the scan as it a different hospital to where he was admitted. My other grandson who is 17 months old thinks he lives here at the moment, and he is also not very well (those awful colds going around at the moment) and really needs mummy and daddy at a time like this, but he is enjoying playing with my 6 and 8 year old, and daughter is happy he is worn out when he goes home... so fingers crossed that if there is anything wrong they will see it on the scan, if not, that he will stop being sick and start gaining weight....

I finally finished the cards at last..... so tomorrow after watching my little boy in his assembly I will be putting together a Card Class as I am thinking of starting Card Classes... not sure where to advertise them, but will also make some leaflets and go searching on Thursday. So if anyone reading this is interested in attending a Card Class in Maldon Essex on a Thursday morning between 10am and 1pm, drop us an email and let us know. All kit will be provided (for a fee) and all you will need to bring is a basic crafting kit..... you will also get refreshments and possibly some homemade cupcakes.... the theme will be Christmas of course (is there anything else at the moment).... date to be confirmed.
This card was made using Wintergreen Patterned Paper (retired Stampin' Up!) and Papertrey Ribbon, card is from Paper Mill Shop, bling is from my stash and sentiment is from Our Daily Bread stamps, same as yesterday.
And today I have decorated some of the insides as I made the card blanks out of coloured card.
For this card I used Kraft Cardstock from Stampin' Up! and the Wintergreen Patterned Papers again, the ribbon is Kraft Taffeta Ribbon from Stampin' Up! and the corners were cut using a cuttlebug die, the punch is from Martha Stewart and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.
Again I decorated the inside to match the outside as the card blank was made using the Kraft Cardstock.
This time I made a Criss Cross Card as I haven't made one of these for some time now.... I used retired Stampin' Up! Patterned Paper for this too and Always Artichoke Stamp Pad and Cardstock, I also used Whisper White and Old Olive Cardstock so it would all match. The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread and bling is from my stash. The ribbon is Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla Grosgain.
And this is what it looks like once you take the card out of the card. The Stamp Set I used on the white card is a Christmas one, but some of the stamps are suitable for all year round use as proved on this card, it is Season of Joy.
And this is the final card I made, Sentiment is Our Daily Bread, Patterned Paper is Stampin' Up! Retired stash, the little butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch as is the border punch. The flowers are from my stash, the brads are also Stampin' Up!
